they thought me how to play-hard-to-get, kiss in the rain and dance in the streets. it’s a shame that i feel admiration for these things because they aren’t mine. now, i’m not knocking movies but it’s easy to forget – movies are motion pictures: a series of images that replicate the movement of life in a very flat way.
truth of the matter, i wish movies hadn’t taught me a single thing about love. what a silly girl i was, but i’m better now. =]
I quit smoking, so now I use my vintage ashtrays as coasters. No pun intended =)
I found some vintage (1960’s) metal floral curtain tacks at an auction house in connecticut. I’ve put them to good use on my cork board by posting some tear outs of clothing i like.
I watched Dan in Real Life, cute movie but I couldn’t help but to notice the changing weather patterns. It made me think how convenient my life would be if the weather symbolized how my day would turn out. Then, when the weather man predicts rain, I’d be prepared for the worst.
It’s really difficult to be away from the person I spent the last six years of my life with… but being with him was even more impossible.
Which reminds me… I was on my way home from school on afternoon, riding the 6 when i overheard two female crackheads discussing a sour relationship. One woman told the other, ”You’re either bad for each other or no good for each other.” That was the most sense I’ve ever heard out of two crackheads. The thought went in the back of my notebook and has visited my memory here and again.
I got this frame at target for $2 and a whole bundle of scrapbooking paper for $3 when I put them together I made an awesome picture frame.
So I pretty much turned a hideous, boring, beat up frame into the cutest frame ever =] Pretty awesome? yeah I know it.
